Volunteer opportunities

 

Volunteers do more than what a list can provide.  This is to give you an idea of some of the tasks for some volunteer opportunities at CLB. If you have further questions please contact info@clbaseball.com

 

Head Coach-

  1. Promote a safe environment both mental and physically

  2. Communicate in a positive way to player, umpires, parents, and other coaches

  3. Teach or develop baseball fundamentals and the rules of baseball

  4. Prepare the team to be game ready, including, scheduling practices, skill development, assigning field positions and batting line-ups.

  5. Help develop athletes' character through being respectful, honest, and caring.

  6. Communicate with families

  7. Responsible for obtaining and returning all CLB equipment

  8. Hand out uniforms

  9. Complete a background check and sign a coaches code of conduct

  10. Understand this is an instructional league and every player is an individual and should experience an overall joy for the game. 

  11. Setting up and taking down fields.

Assist Coach-

  1. Assist the head coach with his duties

  2. Promote a safe environment for all players, umpires, parents and other coaches

  3. Assist in practices and games.

  4. Help motivate players in a positive manner to bring out the best in them

  5. Complete a background check and sign a coaches code of conduct

  6. Understand this is an instructional league and every player is an individual and should experience an overall joy for the game

  7. Setting up and taking down fields.

Coaches Helper-

  1. Assist coaching staff

  2. Develop a team snack schedule if team/coach wants one

  3. Organize parent volunteers for the Snack Shack (with guidance from Shack)

  4. To help assure the team stays organized 

  5. Setting up and taking down fields.

Team Photographer-

  1. Take pictures of both teams during your child's game

  2. Upload pictures to a dedicated  box for the league to use on their social media and webpage.

Snack Shack Volunteer-

  1. Assist the Shack manager

  2. Serve customers

  3. Be open to using the Point of Sale device. (you will get training on this)

  4. Be comfortable making change. 

Snack Shack Manager-

  1. Current have or obtain your food certification license

  2. Help maintain the Snack Shack volunteer schedule

  3. Able to use the Point of Sale device

  4. Responsible for money transactions

  5. Communicate with volunteers

  6. Maintain a clean environment

  7. Report low inventory
