CLB BULLDOGS PROGRAM OVERVIEW
WHAT is Crystal Lake BULLDOGS Baseball?
The Crystal Lake BULLDOGS is the full-time travel baseball program of Crystal Lake Baseball, an affiliate organization with the Crystal Lake Park District. This program is focused on players ages 10 to 13 who are seeking a higher level of competition and who are willing to make a substantial commitment to playing baseball. Players are selected by their age group's coaching staff based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to: performance level, commitment, ability, effort, and attitude. Tryouts for the Bulldogs program are held in late July for the upcoming Spring season. The program assembles full-time travel teams at the 10U, 11U, 12U, and 13U levels for 'Single A' competition, participating in approximately 20-30 games against other local community travel teams and entering 2-3 local tournaments. Teams will also have the option to participate in one out-of-state tournament on the season.
Indoor training sessions for the Bulldogs teams begin in January and last throughout the winter months. Regular practices are scheduled during the season, which generally runs from early-April to mid-July. There is a registration fee charged to each player to help cover the structural costs associated with this program.
